Can I apply only fade-in or only fade-out?
Yes. Set the other value to 0 and process the file.
How long should a fade be?
For most clips, 0.2–2 seconds works well. Longer fades can be useful for music endings or ambient audio.
Why does it export as WAV?
WAV is widely compatible. If you need MP3 or M4A, fade the audio first, then convert the WAV using the audio converter.
